Sweet and Sour Dipping Sauce
Sweet and sour is a classic sauce that is used in various countries in Asia and can be eaten with all kinds of vegetable dishes. Try it with Ranga's Mixed Vegetable Tempura for a delicious snack.
1/2 cup apple juice
1/2 cup orange or tangerine juice
5 tablespoons lemon juice
3 tablespoons cane sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch or arrowroot powder
1. Whisk all ingredients in a small saucepan and cook on medium heat until thickened and shiny.
2. Sauce can be served warm or cold with tempura. Water or juice may be added to thin it if needed.
