Hare Krsna my dear devotees. I hope your spiritual life has been peaceful and full of nice realisations. Here at home I have noticed how devotees are becoming more and more involved in Deity worship.

We have been sharing the devotional service and normally me and my sister-in-law do the cooking, the boys, Kesava and Advaita bathe the Lordships, doing all the preparation before like tilaka and lemon for the polishing and massaging the Deities, the yogurt with honey for bathing, the raisins garlands and also warming the water for the process, since we started this service our lives have been more blessed and in a short period all in the house could feel the blessings of the Lord.

My niece takes care of the garlands, one for each of the Deities and one for Srila Prabhupada. Advaita always clean and decorate the altar of the Deities and Lord Nrsimhadeva's altar which is a separate one. Nowadays we improved the service by offering arati with all the paraphernalia it's required for an arati and the boys are pretty happy by doing this service.

There are 3 dogs in the house and even them get the mercy by taking prasadam and being blessed by the everyday chanting.

In Mayapur Uddhava is finishing his studies and next year he is coming back home to help in some service, he is not very sure about what the Lord has in mind for him but I am sure until there he will know his propensities.

I am carrying on with my daily improvement in cooking Indian food style, learning from Adiraja's book all the main preparations and also trying some myself. I have already scheduled 2 cooking classes, one in Goura Vrindavana Farm in Parati - Rio de Janeiro and another one in a vegetarian restaurant in São Paulo downtown. People are getting very interested in learning how to cook vegetarian Indian food in my country and most are becoming vegetarian, so it's easy for me to develop this new project.

A month ago I have given a 15 hour course on vegetarian dishes and also showed them some preparations like chapatis, samosas, nimbu pani, puris, lemon rice, kheer, gulab jams, coconut halava and cheese balls which is a Brazilian preparation but I showed them how to prepare without eggs and students loved it.

I do some preaching on the importance of being vegetarian and also cooking with devotion without trying the preparation before and also having in mind this dish is for our heart Deity. So the students understand this importance and the coordinator of the course congratulated me for the preparations and said the course was the most organized and the mood of the students were happy and satisfied. They also commented that it's the first time they don't throw the preparations because all of the staff loved eating and the students took some home.

I have daily orders of samosas even though because I still work as a teacher I am not able to make them, I tell the clients I am giving more emphasis to cooking classes nowadays and maybe later I will do some catering or delivery.

I have developed a nice recipes blog and also my site is much more improved nowadays. I got many nice compliments from devotees in Brazil about that and I can see it as Krsna's mercy, because I really love when I am teaching others how to cook and I feel very happy when I see they developing their new skills with a devotee.

We have got a very nice gift from Srila Prabhupada by learning all the best Indian dishes and also by devotee's association I got some cooking skills so I own this knowledge to devotees and Krsna and my idea is to distribute as much prasadam as I can and teach others how to live a simple life with a peaceful and devoted mood. Maybe the Lord can reach other souls through this service, my only desire is to focus and become His intrument in anything He wants to do. Before each of my classes I pray to Srimate Radharani and ask Her to protect me and teach me how to serve Krsna better.

This makes my classes nice and I get to know the best way how to teach others all the nice preparations the Lord likes.

May your service be blessed and deep with love and devotion so you can attract Krsna's heart and develop a much stronger relationship with Him.

your servant,

Aruna devi
