The Higher Taste 1st Edition

The old classic edition of The Higher Taste went out of print in 2006, and was replaced by a newer and completely re-vamped version. But why?

Well, honestly, because the original edition was written and compiled decades ago, before we had a good idea about healthy eating and high fat diets. Many of the recipes were updated to take out the ghee (clarified butter), sour cream, and other high-fat ingredients, or to simply improve the recipe overall.

There were quite a few recipe that were not brought forward into the new edition of the book though, and we're offering them here on for people who want a little decadence from time to time.

Many thanks to Kurma Dasa, Bhutatma Dasa, Drutakarma Dasa, Mukunda Goswami, Kaisori Dasi, and The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust for updating an essential book on spiritual food and vegetarianism to include 'healthy eating' as a priority. The new edition of The Higher Taste is now even more essential to those new to Krishna consciousness and vegetarianism.
